Location:

  • Tyrone, PA (On-site) This is not a remote position.

Pay:

  • $65,000.00 - $70,000.00

Report to:

  • CEO of MAG Industries

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (adjustable)

Job Description:

As a Data Analyst specializing in Pricing Strategy & Procurement within our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our pricing strategies for both sales and procurement. Leveraging your expertise in data analysis and market research, you will analyze pricing data, monitor market trends, and collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize pricing decisions and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Price Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of pricing data, including historical sales data, competitor pricing, and market trends, to identify pricing opportunities and inform pricing strategies.
  • Pricing Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop pricing strategies for both sales and procurement, considering factors such as product demand, competitive landscape, and cost analysis.
  • Price Optimization: Implement pricing models and algorithms to optimize pricing decisions, maximize profitability, and maintain competitive pricing positioning in the market.
  • Procurement Support: Work closely with the procurement team to analyze supplier pricing, negotiate favorable terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities to enhance our procurement strategy.
  • Data Visualization: Develop interactive dashboards and reports to visualize pricing data and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders, including senior management and sales teams.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities through market research and analysis, and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
  • Data Governance: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of pricing data and related systems, and implement best practices for data governance and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in data analysis roles, with a focus on pricing analysis and strategy development.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of pricing methodologies, including cost-based pricing, value-based pricing, and competitive pricing analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making processes.
  • Familiarity with the cannabis and tobacco industry is a plus.
