MAG Aerospace is actively searching for talented, motivated people to fill a senior role on our team of test engineers and certification specialists supporting the Protected Anti-jam Tactical SATCOM (PATS) project at Aberdeen Proving Ground in MD. The candidate will play a critical role in the establishment of a test and performance evaluation program in support of PATS, and in the development of test criteria based on the candidate’s in-depth understanding of the technologies at play. Minimum Requirements
The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; thereby, in accordance with Federal Requirements, medical requirements include but are not limited to full COVID-19 vaccination, except in limited circumstances where a candidate is legally entitled to an accommodation – proof of vaccination required.
• Experience in the establishment of test and evaluation criteria.• Experience in SATCOM Terminal and SATCOM Modem testing and evaluation.• Expertise in SATCOM/RF/Modem waveform theory.• Expertise in SATCOM Terminal and SATCOM Modem operations. • Ability to collect, analyze, and evaluate network traffic and data. • Ability to summarize information for use in plans, procedures, test reports, and presentations.
Knowledge and Skills
• Ability to use automated test software and understand programming languages; PYTHON, JSON experience a plus.• Expertise in use of Microsoft Excel functions and graphing capabilities.• Experience with Visio or like diagramming and vector graphics applications.
Education
The minimum level of education required is: 4 year degree in a relevant field or comparable military experience.
