MAG Aerospace is hiring a Systems Engineer who is focused on collecting accurate, actionable data from soldiers to inform the design of Army sensors and sensor displays. This position would conduct both quantitative and qualitative research, supporting Engineering Psychologists and other scientists, to build custom simulations, to process sensor imagery, and/or to construct visual perception tests. Help build, modify, and maintain the hardware and software infrastructure of these projects.
The projects supported can involve measuring performance with real or simulated sensor imagery, conducting test that examine the cognitive processing of augmented reality information, conducting experiments with augmented reality/virtual reality displays, and conducting evaluations of physical or virtual sensor/display prototypes. This team supports the study of how low-light (i.e., “night vision”) sensors, thermal sensors, and advanced displays impact Soldiers and how they can be improved.
This position has a Localized Hybrid schedule option which means there are 2-3 day onsite expectations per week, and telework the other days.
