Position Summary

Looking for recent graduates with minimal experience to come join an exciting software developing team. As a Junior Software Developer, you will be developing software to support communications in advanced synthetic training environments. You will contribute to state-of-the-art methods to provide the means for simulators to coordinate the execution and exchange of information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Development of simulation software Graphical User Interface (GUI) and multi-threaded applications/Applications Programming Interface (API) based on formal and informal customer requirements.
• Documentation of simulation software interfaces/software acceptance testing for users and modeling and simulation verification and validation tasks.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

The required skills and knowledge include:

• Simulation software interface development in a RHEL Linux environment with emphasis on network interfaces (i.e. socket programming).
• Scripting languages
• C

The minimum years of related experience required:

• 1 years’ experience 

Education

The minimum level of education required is:

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Degrees in Engineering, Math, and Physics may qualify with at least 1 year of C /Linux experience.

Desired Requirements

The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:

• Experience with scripting, database, and programming in Windows MS Visual Studio, Linux, Python, and Qt.
• Understanding of radar, aircraft coordinate math, mission system payloads are a plus.

Other Qualifications

Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:

• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain higher level.
