Position Summary

MAG is seeking a motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our team, providing support to help the US ARMY define and deliver next generation capabilities to the warfighter. In this role you will be providing leadership, subject matter expertise, and support to PEO Soldier to design and architect solutions for the Integrated Brigade Combat Teams (ICBT). You will be working side-by-side with the Army at Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position requires a candidate to have an active secret clearance, or higher. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Subject matter expert for Systems Engineering and has the ability to lead engineering efforts on assigned programs with minimal oversight.
• Ability to understand Army formations (squad, platoon, company, and Battalion) and equipment, then convey graphically and in writing architectures that span these formations and impacts to current and future Army equipment.
• Manages systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, functional analysis, design solutions, systems analysis and control, and generation and maintenance of systems architecture products.
• Applies system engineering principals and procedures to translate qualified needs and requirements into system performance parameters and the identification of system/item configuration.
• Formulates and issues system engineering documents, processes, procedures, and milestones.
• Demonstrated understanding of System Engineering Management Processes (SEMP) and DoD lifecycle acquisition processes.
• Translates military operational and mission requirements into practical system concepts and performance specifications.
• Evaluates design efforts to ensure integration of all engineering disciplines and ability to ensure interoperability across System of Systems (SoS).
• Reviews test plans, procedures, and reports for technical adequacy.
• Reviews and evaluates system performance against specification requirements, monitors and assesses field performance, and assesses risk of meeting user and specification requirements.
• Initiates engineering change proposals and waivers/deviations, as needed, and conduct physical and functional configuration audits.
• Work with Army and external agencies action officers to facilitate communication in a timely manner and synchronize all acquisition efforts.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with MS Office Products.
• Knowledge and experience with US Army acquisition and systems.
• Ability to work collaborative with members of teams.
• Ability to present technical material, as a SME, to external organizations and stakeholders.

Education

• BS Engineering and greater than 20 years relevant experience or MS Engineering Equivalent and greater than 15 years of experience

Clearance

• US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Desired Experience

• Preferred knowledge of Infantry Brigade Combat Teams (ICBT)
• Preferred experience with DoD 5000 acquisition approach
• Preferred experience with TRADOC and DOTMLPF
