Position Summary MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Senior Acquisition Specialist to support the Assistant Product Managers (APMs) by providing guidance and development of acquisition deliverables across the aspects of Cost, scheduled, and performance for Cyber Products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: * Applying mastery of DoD acquisition policy/best practice (DoDI 5000, Army Acquisition Regulations), briefing formation, and overall understanding of critical acquisition functional disciplines (e.g., contracting, test, engineering, logistics, budget) to produce thoughtful and defendable acquisition approaches * Directly supports the development of the acquisition strategy, acquisition program baselines, schedules, contracting plans/requirements packages, engineering strategies, spend/execution plans, shaping Program Objective Memoranda, and other supporting budget documentation * Applies understanding of Information Technology Box requirements process, tailored Major Capability Acquisition, Software Acquisition, and experience with multiple contracting approaches is highly preferred * Mentors and coaches APMs to grow as experienced and confident acquisition professionals * Ability to work well with others, and apply critical thinking to solve complex problems #LI-LW1 Requirements Minimum Requirements * 10 years of related experience in developing contracts * Experience supporting procurement documentation (examples include: Service Contract Act Requests, Performance Work Statements, Statements of Work, Statements of Objectives, Labor Category Descriptions, Justification and Approval documents, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans, Acquisition Plans and Acquisition Strategies). * Experience in the DoD 5000 acquisition process * Knowledge and skill in the application of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods and techniques of federal contracting and the DoD 5000 acquisition process * Experience developing and maintaining excel spreadsheets for budgets * Experience drafting funding documentation (DD448, DD448-2, PRs, etc) * Experience and training with Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), including preparation of PWDs in LMP * Experience providing budget information for meetings and briefings (filling out power point templates or excel spreadsheets) * Experience in monitoring voucher accruals from vendors to payment * Experience tracking funding documentation and providing assistance with budget taskers Education * The minimum level of education required is: BS Degree (field flexible). 4 years of additional experience can be considered for equivalency Clearance * US Citizenship * DoD Top Secret Security Clearance required; Secret may apply but must be TS/SCI eligible Desired Requirements * Proven track record of successfully planning, maturing, and fielding DoD acquisition systems * Experience with multiple contract vehicles & approaches (Traditional Federal Acquisition Regulation, Other Transaction Authority, Justification & Approvals (J&As)) * Familiarity with IT Box requirements approach * Experience with Tailored Major Capability Acquisition and Software Acquisition Pathways * Experience working with the government or working as a Science and Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) within a program management office for the acquisition of Cyber Programs * Excellent interpersonal skills, to including the ability to work on multi-functional teams * Ability to comprehend and apply guidance provided in DoDI 5000.91, Product Support Management for the Adaptive Acquisition Framework Special Note The position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.
