Madrigal Pharmaceuticals Corporation is Hiring an Associates Director, Investor Relations Near Waltham, MA

The Investor Relations group is responsible for maintaining relationships between Madrigal and its investors. This is a strategic function that integrates sales, marketing, finance, analytics and communications to communicate Madrigal’s investment identity to sell-side analysts, current shareholders and potential new investors. This is a transformational time for Investor Relations at Madrigal as we continue to establish and build the Investor Relations function, strengthen and evolve Madrigal’s equity story, enhance analytics, targeting, engagement, and communication. This individual must be ready to participate in a face-paced environment with high visibility to executive management.Position Responsibilities:

This role works directly with Chief IRO and executive management including CEO, CFO, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of R&D. Also partners with commercial, finance, business development, R&D, legal, marketing and communications functions.
This position will provide a unique and broad exposure to Madrigal as well as high visibility to executive management.
Supports Chief IRO in communications with investors and analysts including communication of company strategy and financial results and addressing inquiries.
Develops information presented to analysts and investors for quarterly earnings, medical meetings, clinical data readouts, analyst days and conferences to support effective communications with investors, sell-side analysts and other key stakeholders. This includes developing the earnings news release, earnings call script, sell-side conference presentations, corporate investor presentation, Q&A documents, board presentations and executive staff presentations.
Tracks and manages updates to analyst models and internal consensus model. Reviews financial models to ensure accuracy and completeness of data, address inquiries and ensure consistency with company strategy and financial guidance.
Supports investor targeting efforts including the analysis of top holders, top buyers and sellers and potential target investors. Tracks all investor relations activities.
Conducts industry and competitor research and analysis. Prepares, interprets and analyzes industry/competitor financial data and business metrics. Monitors industry and competitor data to provide reporting of key developments and to aid in framing investor communications.
Works with the company’s listing exchange and internal staff to ensure the Investor Relations website is properly maintained and updated. Monitors website activity and industry best practices to develop recommendations to ensure website is optimized both in functionality and content while striving for best-in-class investor support.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree in related field. CFA, MBA a plus.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with preference of role in investment banking, sellside analyst, buyside analyst, finance, analytics or investor relations role.
Strong analytical skills, experience with financial analysis and financial modeling
Strong attention to detail
Biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare experience preferred.
Strong work ethic
Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Professional, proactive demeanor
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team oriented

Compensation:Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits, which include flexible paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance.
