The Health Information Manager is responsible for the overall planning, development, and administration of the health information system for Madison Valley Medical Center. The Health Information Manager ensures that health information processes and procedures are consistent with the standards of accrediting and regulatory agencies. The Health Information Manager must have the ability to analyze and interpret business periodicals and industry specific professional journals to maintain current knowledge and competencies in health information management. The Health Information Manager is responsible for communicating pro-actively with members of the medical staff to identify issues and/or needs that are requested and must have excellent communication skills with the ability to respond to inquiries, regulatory agencies or community members and effectively present information to leadership, and/or the Board of Directors and responsible for the overall accuracy & integrity of the patient’s medical records and responsible for the overall accuracy & integrity of the patient’s medical records. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with the mission and values of MVMC.
