6.0 Hour Para-Educator II - Special Assignment needed to assist the teacher in general daily classroom activities and to support student(s) with identified special needs. Work Schedule: 6.0 hours per day / 185 days per year (follows the student school calendar plus 3 professional development days in August) Salary: $16.76 per hour Benefits: Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Matching Funds for Defined Contribution Pension Leave Benefits: Paid sick and personal leave
Requirements: A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) test; AND
2 Years of College Credit (60 credits); OR
Associates Degree; OR
Pass a State Board of Education adopted ParaEducator Assessment which assesses content knowledge in mathematics, reading and an understanding of how to assist in the instruction of these topics. https://www.ets.org/parapro.html
