General Responsibilities:

Under general supervision performs food preparation, serving, cleaning and record keeping responsibilities. Promote positive attitude and teamwork in the Lunchroom in order to provide a pleasant experience for students.

• Reconcile daily cash receipts, bank deposit and sales report.
• Maintain accurate food service records.
• Preparation of meals accurately to insure the highest quality food preparation and high standard of food safety.
• Clean tables, kitchen equipment and general food service area.
• Operate various kitchen equipment including convection oven.
• Distribute foods in proper portions.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Fills in for Lead FSW IV in event of their absence.
• Must maintain the highest quality standards.
• Must be serv/safe certified
• Ability to read, follow directions and maintain records.
• Knowledge of basic mathematical concepts.
• Ability to deal effectively with diverse district personnel, students and the community.
• Ability to operate various commercial kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of large scale food production.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitary regulations.
• Work requires walking, lifting, climbing, bending, reaching and kneeling.
• Ability and skill in the use of a personal computer.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle money.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Experience working cross-culturally and/or commitment to work toward one's own cultural competence, i.e., valuing difference/diversity, recognizing personal limitations in one's skills and expertise, and having the desire to learn in these areas.

Qualifications:

• FSW II or above classification.
• Must be serv/safe certified
• One year food service experience in a large scale food service operation or a combination of experience and formal training equal to one year.
• Must have reliable transportation to work each day.
• Ability to ensure timely heating and serving of meals.
• Positive attitude toward being part of a "team" effort to make the lunchroom a pleasant experience for students.
• Aptitude and/or ability to account for lunch monies accurately
