Madison Metal Processing LLC is Hiring a Production Control Specialist, 2nd shift - 7pm/3:45 am Mon - Fri Near Madison, AL

Description

 Coordinates the transferring and processing of material to maintain finished inventory levels and fill customers’ orders

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Shipping/Receiving/WO

  • Creating pick slip for shipping to floor with timely manner based on customer order
  • Monitors shipping schedule and coordinate with customer and floor
  • Create work orders for blank line as necessary
  • Work order verification (after processing)
  • Filing of completed work orders
  • Load Tally check
  • Coil tag spec check
  • Update coil status (After spec check complete)

Scheduling Support as necessary

  • Change processing schedule
  • Check work order accuracy and attach MSUS
  • Monitor coils are processed in FIFO
  • Update the processing pattern sheet

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 0-3 years’ experience
  • High school diploma
  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Oracle and/or SAP system

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, quality manuals, operational procedures, work instructions, and technical manuals. Ability to write process procedures, standards, work instructions, routine reports and business correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate percentages, area, circumference and volume and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use various personal computer software (Microsoft Windows, Outlook). Knowledge of metric system.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
