Madison Metal Processing LLC is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Madison, AL

Description

Responsibilities include maintaining blank line, forklifts, facility equipment etc., and ensure that all equipment remains in good working condition.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment in accordance with standardized procedures (including building)
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repair on machinery, crane, banding, other equipment, doors, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, fabrication and PLC’s. 
  • Responsible for assisting with inventory control of parts, consumables, lubricants, etc. 
  • Responsible for following procedures to ensure a safe working environment. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; equivalent combination of education and experience equal to 2 years.
  • Working knowledge of interfacing and networking of PLC’s, PC’s, and mainframe computers. Prefer strong knowledge of Studio 5000 and Mitsubishi PLC’s. 
  • Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and technical manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, process controls, technical standards, and work instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, engineers, and contractors.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to understand computer programs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to interpret computer programs.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Detailed knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, wiring, controls, motors, and drives. Working knowledge of machine operation and mechanical/hydraulic components. Welding experience required. Ability to use various personal computer software (Microsoft Windows, etc.).
