Responsibilities:

• Organize and execute a diverse range of events on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, aimed at promoting socialization, relaxation, and leisure.
• Tailor activities to suit the specific needs of our residents, ensuring inclusivity for everyone, including those with special requirements.
• Take charge of event logistics, handling tasks such as making phone calls, managing advertising, overseeing inventory, budgeting, coordinating volunteers, and arranging transportation.
• Gather feedback from participants to continuously enhance and customize events according to their preferences.
• Maintain meticulous records pertaining to event planning resources, participant interests, and other relevant details.
• Promptly report any medical concerns or observations.
• Ensure events are well-prepared, staff is adequately trained, and activities run smoothly within the allocated budget and time frame.
• Provide clear instructions to participants and enforce all safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Certification as a CAD (Certified Activity Director) is mandatory.
• Previous experience in nursing, recreational activities, or event planning is advantageous.
• Completion of job training, alongside first-aid and CPR certification, is obligatory.
• Physical fitness is essential to meet the various demands of the role.
• Proficient organizational and time management abilities are a must.
• Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and communication skills are highly valued.
• Demonstrated patience and compassion, particularly when interacting with diverse groups or individuals confronting health challenges.
• Commitment to upholding and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
