Senior Associate, Community Solar

Madison Energy Infrastructure (“MEI”) believes in the power of clean energy infrastructure and has quickly emerged as a preeminent developer, investor, asset owner, and operator of distributed generation. This role represents a critical next step in MEI’s evolution toward building a best-in-class Community Solar platform for our customers and partners.

This position will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s growing Community Solar Pipeline, with a focus on managing Aggregator Partners, contract approval processes, regulatory and compliance responsibilities and general market knowledge. This position will report directly to the Director of Market Development. Responsibilities include partner management, pricing negotiation, policy tracking and analysis, contract management and cross functional coordination. This position is best filled by a multi-disciplined, self-starter with an appetite for learning and covering multiple technologies and topics.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage community solar acquisition and management partners to ensure on-time subscription of MEI’s growing portfolio of community solar assets. If necessary, troubleshoot customer acquisition strategy directly with partners to ensure success.
• Manage scope of work contract execution with existing partners and support Director of Market Development in negotiations with new Aggregator partners.
• Manage pricing and product offerings from Aggregator partners, ensuring an accurate view on the market and refreshing on a regular basis.
• Ensure a smooth transition to asset management once a project is fully subscribed, keeping all resources organized and ensuring collaboration between the Asset Management, Finance and Delivery teams with external partners.
• Keep team members well-informed about acquisition progress on active Community Solar assets and community solar pipeline via Salesforce, Dropbox, and Slack communication.
• Research and communicate critical market updates to the team and keep reference resources for finance, originations, and the incentives team up to date.
• Support the development and maintenance of Community Solar services pricing and other model assumptions to guide the purchase of new Community Solar assets. 

• Multiple years of experience in clean energy and distributed generation projects
• Familiarity with community solar markets and community solar contracts
• Aptitude and knowledge of clean energy markets/incentives
• Hands-on knowledge of CRMs and other sales systems/software
• Strong written and oral communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Multi-tasker with a strong work ethic
• Superior interpersonal skills and a team-first mentality
