About the position: As a Medical Assistant at Madison Health, you will be responsible for supporting the patient care treatment process by assisting the physician and other clinical staff in the appropriate delivery of patient care services. Ensures that patients are properly received and the necessary business and record keeping functions are completed prior to the patient receiving medical services. This is a day shift position.
Key job qualities/duties:

  • Assists with pre-employment physicals on potential MH new hires and other Occupational Health patients. Obtains vital signs, specimen collection for drug screen and cotinine screen. Completes all required documentation.
  • Participates in off-site Health Fairs. Completes health fair set-up, obtains vital signs, specimens collection, testing and other duties as it relates to the health fair.
  • Assists provider or clinic nurse as needed with evaluation, initial treatment and follow-up treatment of injured workers. Completes Ohio Workers Compensation System associated forms and follows accepted procedures. Manages open BWC cases shared with clinic nurse.
  • Performs specimen collection for Occupational Health as needed including chain-of-custody urine drug screens, breath alcohol tests and hair samples. Participates in off-site drug screen collection.
  • Ensures clinic supplies are stocked appropriately.
  • Assists with generation of statistical reports for Occupational Health use, billing and other operational needs. Works with Occupational Health Director to create marketing materials for the purpose of growing new business.
  • Floats to Urgent Care as needed to assist in rooming patients under the direction of the Urgent Care provider.


What qualifications are we looking for?

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred or equivalent experience in a primary care setting.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of employment required.
