Madison City is Hiring a Golf Course Attendant (Hourly) Near Madison, WI

The City of Madison Parks Division is looking to hire Golf Clubhouse Attendants. The successful candidates for these positions perform varied public contact services, which may include customer service work, cash handling, staffing events and programs, routine labor and custodial work, light clerical duties, set up work, etc. These positions work under the direct leadership of the Assistant Golf Professionals and general supervision of the Golf Clubhouse Operations Supervisor.

HOURS: This position will work approximately 0-40 hours per week and will include weekdays, weekends, day time shifts, and holidays. Hours are intermittent and will vary based on the schedule of events, programs, and activities.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE CLOSING DATE. HOWEVER THE SELECTION PROCESS WILL BEGIN PRIOR TO THE CLOSING DATE BASED UPON THE NEEDS OF THE GOLF PROGRAM.

THIS RECRUITMENT WILL BE USED TO FILL OTHER VACANCIES THAT OCCUR IN THIS CLASSIFICATION THAT MAY ARISE OVER THE NEXT SIX (6) MONTHS

Responsible for performing customer service operations within the clubhouses, primarily in the golf shop answering telephones, checking in guests for their tee times, managing the tee sheet, collecting fees, and recording sales into Point of Sale (POS) system.
Responsible for performing outside operations, picking the driving range, tending to golf carts, and any on-course issues, with a focus on customer care and satisfaction in all tasks performed at City of Madison's golf courses.
Responsible for the performing custodial labor and general upkeep of the of golf clubhouses facilities and related amenities for operation, which includes cleaning, stocking and trash removal of all areas within the clubhouse and restrooms in the clubhouse and on the course.
Other related duties as assigned.

All applicants will be considered for these positions. Depending on the number of applications, random selection may be used to determine who will proceed to the interview process.

Physical Requirements:
Employees may be expected to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift 35 pounds. Ability to work on uneven terrain. Ability to work in various weather conditions and be exposed to pollen, dust, grass clippings, fertilizers, etc. Ability to use golf carts.

*Payroll title for this position is Attendant (Hourly)
