• Calculate parking fees by using a fee computer or manually calculating the fee upon exit or entry to a parking facility. Collect fees and make change accurately.
• Deposit money in a safe and record deposit information. 
• Issue tickets in lieu of payment. Issue tickets for parking violations.
• Maintain cashiers' work area. Ensure safety of work area, cashiers and cash by following prescribed safety rules and regulations.
• Order supplies; keep supplies properly stocked, filled out and ready to use.
• Keep all equipment, booths, safes, offices and restrooms secure at all times.
• Explain parking procedures and rates to patrons. Give directions and answer questions as requested.
• Solve complaints for patrons or direct them elsewhere for assistance.
• Notify the Police Department when patrons need assistance or when vandalism, unlawful, or suspicious behavior needs to be investigated.
• Hand out informational flyers, maps and questionnaires. Conduct surveys when necessary. 
• Set up and remove barricades and signs as needed for pay-on-entry operation or traffic direction.
• Make minor repairs to entry stations, gates, computers and other equipment used at the worksite. Report equipment needing major repairs or affected by vandalism to the supervisor.
• Keep drive lanes and walking areas near assigned work area clean of snow, ice, safety hazards, litter and dirt.
• Pick up trash in the facilities and perform other assigned cleaning duties.
• Keep a record of repairs to equipment, transaction journal information, lost and found items, survey data, etc. 

• Six (6) months of cash handling experience

• Safe cash handling techniques.

• Ability to meet transportation requirements of the position.

Physical Requirements:

• Employees will be expected to work in adverse conditions such as a small work area, variable temperatures and weather, heavy traffic area, etc. 
• Employees must be able to get in and out of booths and/or vehicles.
• Employees are expected to reach, bend, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, move quickly to open and/or repair gate and station problems; issue tickets and assist patrons.
