Madhive is Hiring a Product Designer Near New York City, NY

The TV industry and MadHive are at a critical inflection point. We have grown our business quickly by helping the nation's largest broadcasters, Fox, Scripps, and TEGNA's Premion, transition to streaming. Our enterprise software platform that provides brands, agencies, and publishers with the technology and infrastructure needed to power today's modern media is in high demand. As MadHive continues to grow its product offering by bringing Advertisers and Publishers closer together, we need to scale our design team to keep up with demand from the business. You will join a group of highly skilled Product Designers, seek input from peers and stakeholders.

What will this person be responsible for?

  • Take ownership of the product design process from the initial discovery to the final implementation
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to understand, refine, and define highly technical and complex problems
  • Align on business goals and objectives while looking for opportunities to innovate
  • Understand the capabilities and technical limitations of the system
  • Communicate conceptual ideas and solutions at various stages of the design process
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and usability tests to make informed design decisions
  • Use metrics and analytics to assess new and existing features
  • Maintain, evolve and extend the existing design system
  • Deliver high-quality site maps, user flow diagrams, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, etc.

What experience will the right person need to have?

  • Preferably 2-4 years of relevant work experience in product design or a related field
  • Expert in using design and prototyping tools (we love Figma!)
  • Ability to self-manage and handle competing priorities
  • Proven skills in user research, conceptual design, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design
  • Skilled communicator who applies an empathetic, user-centered approach to problem-solving
  • Experience with various qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to set specific goals that result in significant improvements or insight

Bonus points: 

  • Able to work a hybrid schedule out of our NYC office
  • Have experience working in AdTech
