MBM Hospitality, a full-service catering company is looking to add a Kitchen Associate to support our kitchen staff with dishwashing equipment and hand shopping event food items.

Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record as this role requires driving company vehicles for grocery shopping and specialty food pick up/drops offs. Please do not apply if you do not have a valid driver's license.

Job Description:

• Assisting Executive Chef and Operations Department with hand shopping food items for events
• Washing dishes for kitchen staff and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes
• Washing event equipment such as bins, hotel pans, off site kitchen tools
• Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene
• Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as needed, as well as wiping down kitchen walls
• Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies
• Organizing kitchen and correctly storing food supplies
• Support Operations Department with event food load out as needed

Kitchen Associate Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

Proven experience assisting in kitchens

Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations

The ability to stand for extended periods

The ability to carry and lift up to 50lbs

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

The ability to work in a team

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Effective communication skills

Must live within close proximity to our new facility on 190th in Torrance, CA
