**Job Title: Construction Estimator**

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects, analyzing blueprints and specifications, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive bids. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities:**

**Estimation:** Accurately estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects based on blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents.

**Analysis:** Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation to identify potential cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and areas of risk.

**Bid Preparation:** Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for construction projects, including detailed cost breakdowns, schedules, and other relevant information.

**Collaboration:** Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure accurate and timely bid submissions.

**Vendor Management:** Maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

**Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bid proposals, correspondence, and other relevant documents.

**Risk Assessment:** Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with construction projects and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

**Continuous Improvement:** Stay abreast of industry trends, construction methodologies, and pricing fluctuations to continuously improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.

**Requirements:**

1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. (Preferred but not mandatory)

2. Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.

3. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and techniques.

4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents.

5. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with keen attention to detail.

6. Advanced proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

9. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

10. Knowledge of relevant construction codes, regulations, and standards.
