Our client is an upscale apartment complex in the Ballard area seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join their team as a temp to hire! Monday - Friday 8:00 – 5:00

Requirements:

1. Experience in apartment maintenance, unit turns and work orders.

2. Driver’s license and reliable transportation, must pass background check as it relates to housing

3. Ability lift to 50 lbs. push and pull up to 100 lbs. daily, climb stairs and ladders and reach for supplies and perform overhead painting.

4. Demonstrated ability to understand and carry out both verbal and written instructions and directions.

5. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance troubleshooting and carpentry.

6. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with co-workers.

Responsibilities include:

1. Performs daily service, routine and preventative maintenance in units, apartment maintenance including prep work and painting, common areas and all grounds.

2. Prepares move-in inspection report with new and vacating residents

3. Performs self-safety inspections around complex and with co-workers.

4. Repairs roof, plumbing, electrical, appliance and carpentry for complex.

5. Tracks key/lock system and changes locks as needed.

6. Installs new appliances such as dishwashers, ranges, and refrigerators.

8. Coordinates and/or completes all work-orders; refers special requests to Site Manager.

7. Provides courtesy services for tenants, such as delivering packages, routine, and preventative maintenance for pool/spa.

8. Hauls garbage as needed.

9. Repairs and repaints interior and exterior of common areas as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
