Seasonal Guest Experience Host 

About the Role

Madame Tussauds San Francisco is on the lookout for a Guest Experience Host to deliver world-class customer service throughout our world-class attraction! Then you have the magic to be Team Merlin at Madame Tussauds San Francisco as a Guest Experience Host!

Come experience the glittering world of fame at The World’s Greatest Wax Museum! As a part-time Team Merlin Guest Experience Host, you will join a team dedicated to providing excellent customer service to all guests by being welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable about Madame Tussauds. This part-time position works throughout the attraction in ticket selling, retail, and guest experience positions. You will help to create lifelong memorable experiences in our attraction for our guests, deliver the highest possible standards of guest service, presentation, and product knowledge and ensure that our guests are receiving optimal fun by connecting with them in a magical, fun, and safe environment.

This is a seasonal part-time hourly position with tentative contract dates of March 4, 2024 - September 4th, 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Adopts an enthusiastic, assertive, and passionate approach to Guest Service, and demonstrates the Merlin Values at every opportunity.
• Seeks out guest contact and displays enthusiasm and boundless amounts of fun energy.
• Ensure our extended lines are managed in a safe way while still delivering an excellent guest experience.
• Ensure all public areas have well stocked displays and point of sale, ready for the attraction opening and that the areas are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy manner throughout the day, actively working towards achieving daily revenue goals.
• Have a working knowledge of all exhibits to deliver correct information.
• Consistently create a positive and memorable experience to our guests.
• Adaptable to a flexible work environment. Some days you might be selling tickets, other days working in our retail store, yet others working directly with our guests to create our legendary Wax Hands. Some days you might work in all three positions!
• Be knowledgeable about Fisherman’s Wharf and San Francisco and be an excellent ambassador for our world-class city.
• To follow opening and closing procedures as detailed in the department’s operating plan.
• Responsibility to ensure compliance of Health, Safety & Security within the workplace, including COVID-19 policies, practices, and regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Fun, dynamic, and friendly personality!
• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Able to work in areas with loud noises and confined spaces.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must have flexible availability and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Previous experience in the attractions industry preferred but not required.
• Bilingual is a plus, especially English and Spanish.
