The Clinical Laboratory Services Manager reports to the CNO/COO and is directly responsible for the management of all services related to the clinical laboratory and pathology, including:

· planning, directing, controlling, coordinating, and integrating medical and non-medical activities of the laboratory

· staffing and coordinating lab services to ensure optimal quality

· continuous regulatory compliance through oversight of processes, policies and procedures within the lab

· responsibly managing supplies, equipment, and productivity to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations that support the hospital’s mission

· performing all functions of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist as needed to facilitate delivery of services

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Current CLS License – will need California licensure upon starting work

2. ASCP certification

3. Bachelor of Science degree

4. Three to five years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist

5. Three to five years of experience as a lab supervisor/manager, preferably in a hospital setting.

Wages are based on prior related experience.
