POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Accessories Designer at Mad Engine, you will be responsible for creating and developing licensed accessory products that align with our vision and licensed properties. You will work closely with the design team, licensors, and stakeholders to conceptualize, design, and execute a range of accessories that resonate with our target audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Collaborate with licensors to understand brand guidelines, character traits, and key elements to integrate into accessory designs.
• Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify opportunities and stay ahead of industry developments.
• Develop concepts and sketches for licensed accessory products including but not limited to bags, wallets, hats, scarves, jewelry, and other fashion accessories.
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for prototyping and production.
• Source materials and trims that meet quality standards and align with design requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, production, and marketing to ensure timely and successful product launches.
• Participate in design reviews, presentations, and meetings to communicate design concepts and gather feedback.
• Stay updated on licensing agreements, contractual obligations, and brand guidelines to ensure compliance in all designs and products.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
• Maintain organized records of designs, revisions, and correspondence related to licensed accessory projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or related field.
• Previous experience in accessory design, preferably in licensed products or collaborations.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
• Strong sketching and illustration skills to communicate design concepts effectively.
• Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes relevant to accessory production.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Creative thinking with a keen eye for detail and a passion for staying updated on industry trends.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• A portfolio showcasing previous accessory designs and projects, demonstrating creativity, originality, and technical proficiency.
