Position Summary
To be the liaison between external customers and the Mactac organization regarding the day-to-day account management of merchant customers. Proactively engages customers with the purpose of educating, building relationships, and closing sales, while promoting the value of Mactac. Champions a positive customer experience.
Excels at the below duties and responsibilities. Requires minimal management support and supervision to handle all issues. Applies strong technical knowledge, communication skills, problem solving and decision making. Establishes and fosters positive customer relationships. Works effectively with team members, peers and management. Is recognized as an expert in all facets of the CSR role. Has a positive and flexible attitude. Handles accounts of high complexity and/or dollar volume in executing customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities · Provide price quotes from Marketing supplied guidelines or by submitting a quote request, via CRM quotes to Marketing or utilize other authorized process for price quotes. Proactive follow up with customers on quotes, capturing market information and sharing with Sales Rep and Marketing. · Initiate sample requests, miscellaneous shipper, technical assistance requests. Enter sample requests as needed into ERP system and proactive follow up with customers on samples sent out. · Provide product recommendations as needed. · Assist in Merchant open houses and sales meetings and trade shows as required · Assist in development of and actively promote new sales promotions and new products with Merchant customer base. · Manage customer specific programs, projects and rebates. · Uncover and assess customer needs while educating customer to position Mactac as a partner that adds value to their business. · Acts as liaison between Mactac departments, including sales, marketing, supply chain, logistics and operations. Works in a positive, effective, collaborative and cooperative manner with internal and external customers. · Serves as a customer champion and understands the customer base well. Works to proactively anticipate customer needs and proactively offer solutions to secure new business, use system reports to monitor accounts for buying behaviors, collaborate with sales to uncover and correct issues before business is lost. · Utilizes problem-solving skills in a proactive manner to communicate customer issues to appropriate party. · Researches and resolves escalated order discrepancies and communicate details to those who can provide corrective action. Works to ensure little to no impact is felt by the customer. · Manages customer complaints and work with customer, sales, claims and any other appropriate parties to resolve issues in a manner satisfactory to the customer and the business. · Maintain a working knowledge of Mactac sheet and graphic product offerings and capabilities. Stay up to date on various print technologies. · Cross-trains to be fully functional on the desk of team members and assist as workload dictates. · Stays abreast of new market developments. Is aware of competitive offerings and cross references. · Have an overall knowledge of the key merchant customers in the assigned territory - i.e. markets served, trading area, selling strategy, distribution strategy, locations and reputation. · Seek out and use competitive intelligence. Exchange data and ideas with Mactac team to ensure sharing of knowledge and provide information around customer and market developments · Participates in departmental meetings. Attends offered meetings and training opportunities as requested or required. · Maintains customer profiles in current systems. Updates customer card notes to ensure cleanliness and accurate details for all who access this information. · Collaborate with outside sales reps to develop and close new business. · As needed and in coordination with outside sales proactively call on new customers. · Utilizes company CRM and ERP systems as required. · Prepare assigned reports accurately and on time. · Occasional travel to company and customer facilities, as well as offsite meetings. Approximately two to four times per year. · Perform miscellaneous duties for projects and events as requested. · Other duties as assigned by management. |
