We are currently looking for a Power BI SME to join a Remote opportunity we are working on with a federal client. Federal Client requires US citizenship.
As a Power BI SME, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering interactive and insightful data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI. You will work closely with business stakeholders and data analysts to understand their reporting needs and requirements, and then translate them into visually appealing and meaningful dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations. You will also be responsible for data modeling, data integration, and data transformation tasks using Power BI, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to gather reporting requirements and translate them into interactive and meaningful Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Develop, design, and implement Power BI reports and dashboards using best practices in data visualization and data modeling techniques.
• Create and maintain data models and data connections in Power BI to ensure accurate and efficient data retrieval and visualization.
• Perform data transformation and data integration tasks using Power Query, Power Pivot, and other Power BI tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards, including data connectivity, data accuracy, and performance optimization.
• Monitor and analyze the performance and effectiveness of Power BI reports and make recommendations for improvements.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in Power BI development and data visualization techniques.
• Provide training and support to business stakeholders on how to effectively use Power BI reports and dashboards.

Education Experience:

• Federal Client requires US citizenship.
• CompTIA SEC Certification or other IAT Level II required.
• Ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar degree.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Power BI, supporting clients at an enterprise level.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and experience in designing efficient and scalable data models using Power BI.
• Experience in data integration and data transformation tasks using Power BI tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into visually appealing and meaningful Power BI reports.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, data analysts, and other IT professionals.
• Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with other data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau, QlikView, or Looker, is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization best practices and principles, including color theory, data storytelling, and data visualization design patterns.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
