Information Security Engineer

Job Description:

• Installing, implementing, administering, monitoring, and maintaining security architecture technology processes and solutions including security information and event management, vulnerability, anti-malware, intrusion detection, public key management, certificate management, and identity & password management solutions
• Focus on risk assessment and vulnerability management
• Having deep knowledge of vulnerability remediation process in an Enterprise environment
• Responsible for researching and analyzing vulnerabilities, identifying relevant threats, corrective action recommendations, summarizing and reporting results
• Manage tracking and remediation of vulnerabilities by leveraging agreed-upon action plans and timelines with responsible parties
• Monitoringfor threats on network, systems, and logs to ensure availability of all systems
• Investigate and respond to security events and potential incidents in accordance with prescribed procedures
• Keeping abreast of the latest security issues and briefing senior Technical Services staff of emerging threats including both general threats and those specifically targeting the enterprise
• Conduct scheduled assessment and audit based on “Trust and Verify” model
• Recommend and develop policy and standards
• Strategy planning for security architecture, and engineering

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be able to explain risks, vulnerabilities and weaknesses and discuss effective defensive techniques
• Experience with cyber security attacks and mitigation methods
• Experience working with web applications and browser security; security assessments and penetration testing; identity and access control; applied cryptography and security protocols; security information and event monitoring and intrusion detection
• Technical network (e.g., CCNA, CCNP Security) and security certifications highly desirable (e.g., CISA, CISSP, GCIH)
• Well versed in operating systems such as Linux and Windows, Active Directory, VPN systems, encryption schemas and algorithms, various authorization and authentication mechanisms/software, network monitoring, TCP/IP networks and vulnerability and threat management tools (including network based scanners)
• Experience with vulnerability scanners, vulnerability management systems, patch management
• Excellent communication skills
• BS in related field or equivalent experience
• 2 or more years of information security experience
