Technical Training Logistics Manager

Location:Greensboro, NC, US, 27409

What you will do
Scheduling and Planning
  • Conducts quarterly technical training needs assessment of the dealer network to forecast technical training class schedules for the following six months.
  • Publishes the six-month training schedule in the Learning Management System (LMS) and the Training and Development Guide
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for fleet training requests and, in coordination with Lead Technical Trainers, schedules technical trainers for agreed-upon fleet training.
  • Coordinates with the Training Operations Team to maintain visibility on non-technical training classes scheduled in the training centers. Communicates to technical training teams non-technical training schedules in the regional training centers.
  • Coordinates with the Technical Training Learning Program Managers (LPMs) and the Training Operations Team to communicate topics, schedules, and resource needs for technical Academy LIVE productions.
  • Collaborate with the Battery Electric Vehicle Dealer Development Manager to ensure training completion and scheduling of Instructor-Led Training (ILT).
  • Works closely with the Training Operations Team and Lead Technical Trainers to determine schedules and support needed for the Mack Masters and VISTA training performance events.
  • Works with Lead Technical Trainers and Sr. Manager of Technical Training on organizing logistics of team meetings throughout the year.
  • Support the Sr. Manager of Technical Training with managing the Dealer Employee Trainer (DET) and the Diesel Advanced Technical Education (DATE) programs.
Reporting and Analysis
  • Design and maintain various reports using PowerBI, advanced Excel skills, and other platforms to provide Trucks Academy leadership with the intelligence needed to manage the function.
  • Coordinate with Training Operations’ LMS team to respond to Trucks Academy leadership requests for ad-hoc reporting and data needs.
  • Support Lead Technical Trainers and Sr. Manager of Technical training in maintaining trainer efficiency and performance reports using evaluations and training schedule data from the LMS and other sources.
  • Conduct regular analysis of dealer network training needs and adjust schedules and training offers accordingly.
Communications and Customer Service
  • Ensure six months of the class schedule is published in The Training and Development Guide. Update any changes that occur to the published schedule ongoing.
  • Communicate with field service teams and dealer service leadership about available classes and seat fill rates.
  • Coordinate with the Training Operations Team to market and communicate technical Academy LIVE productions, Mack Masters, VISTA, and other technical training events.
  • Manage the Trucks Academy function emails (in support of the Training Operations Team).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on LMS functionality and processes.
  • Provide LMS support to other Trucks Academy teammates as needed.
  • Act in a Customer Support role by responding to relevant inquiries from dealer personnel, field personnel, corporate staff, and department teammates via phone, online chat, email, and the SNAP ticket system.
  • Responsible for managing data feeds between the LMS and other information systems, as well as providing technical support, troubleshooting, and testing activities, when necessary.

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.Proven experience with Power BI and other analytic software.
  • Experience in a training environment and familiar with learning management systems.
  • Proven track record in a corporate setting with numerous diverse responsibilities supporting multiple stakeholders.
  • Training logistics and event planning experience.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
  • Project management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Cornerstone on Demand LMS functionality.
  • Advanced user of Excel and Power BI
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional communications skills are critical.
  • Technical background beneficial

  • Periodic domestic travel.
