Job Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Bookseller to join our team. As a Bookseller, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and promoting our wide selection of books and related products. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about literature and enjoy working in a retail environment. Responsibilities: - Assist customers in finding books and recommending suitable selections - Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns - Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system - Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelving books and restocking merchandise - Stay up-to-date with new book releases, bestsellers, and current literary trends - Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and contribute to a positive work environment Skills: - Strong retail sales skills with the ability to upsell and cross-sell products - Excellent customer service skills, including active listening and effective communication - Proficiency in using technology for sales purposes, such as tablets or e-readers - Knowledge of book genres, authors, and literary trends - Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Cash handling experience with accuracy and attention to detail Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills Join our team of passionate Booksellers and share your love for literature with our customers.
