Job Summary:
This is an opportunity to learn and work in one of the nation’s most prestigious occupational therapy vision rehab programs! This 24 hour/week per diem position serving Central MA, includes training consumers in the use of compensatory skills and aids that will enable them to live safely, productively, independently and reach their maximum potential. This person will be treating participants who have been discharged from skilled nursing facilities into the community as part of the ABI/MFP Waivers. These consumers qualify for long-term therapy services in order to prevent their re-admission to nursing facilities. Duties also include the training of other staff and caregivers, recommending and ordering specialized medical equipment and consulting on discharge planning.
This position will cover consumers in the Central MA area.
