Currently seeking to expand our fully community-based vocational program with opportunities *state wide*.
Summary: Program exclusively works with participants with a history of Acquired or Traumatic brain injuries and supports them in gaining community employment, volunteer opportunities or even starting their own businesses. Each Employment specialist will be given a small caseload of participants to work with throughout their week. This is a unique opportunity to work with adults with disabilities without being stuck inside a building all day.
Under the general supervision of the Program Director, the Employment Specialist supports the participant(s) assigned in reaching their individualized learning goals that may include providing peer support, pre-vocational training and/or support for meaningful employment. These activities could include connecting with the local community and building relationships in meaningful ways; improving employment or volunteer skills; and/or finding and successfully engaging in competitive employment.
Specialist must have access to their own vehicles to use when working with participants: mileage will be reimbursed. Both part time & full time opportunities available.
