Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Perform automotive repairs and refinishing on vehicles according to manufacturer specifications
- Conduct auto estimating to determine the extent of damage and necessary repairs
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service
- Utilize dealership software and tools to complete repairs efficiently
- Repair and replace damaged sheet metal, including welding as needed
- Prepare surfaces for painting, apply primer, paint, and clear coat
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in automotive repair is required
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Proficient in auto estimating techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Familiarity with dealership repair processes and procedures is preferred
- Experience in auto painting and welding is a plus
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
- Must have own hand tools
