MA1 Security are seeking experienced security professionals for their Security Department. The Security Officers are responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors according to policies and licensing guidelines. Investigates and provides written reports on action taken on complaints and disturbances. Security Officer secures the buildings and equipment from loss or abuse. This position requires reliable personnel. Client is very discreet and requires professional personnel who can pass an extensive background check.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Make at least four tours of the building per shift, and at least two outside the building, examining and observing all doors and windows that should be locked; doors to stairwells to ascertain they are free from blockage; and that all exits are free from obstructions
• Lock and unlock all doors in accordance with established time schedule
• Respond to any alarms of unauthorized doors opening
• Call local law enforcement agencies, as required, including, but not limited to, the removal of unruly guests
• Maintain a log of all requests and action taken on each request while manning the Security Desk, as well as any incidents or activities affecting safety or security
• Monitor the fire alarms and follow established procedures when events occur
• Provide a detailed report of all areas checked, calls for service and infraction of safety and security policies at the end of each shift
• Other duties as required

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Delaware Security Guard License
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Fluently read and write English with an ability to understand and execute verbal instructions
• Ability to satisfactory pass a background check
• Ability to satisfactory pass a drug screening test
• Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years Prior training in security, military and/or law enforcement with security clearance
• BLS or CPR preferred
• Valid DE Security Guard License

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
