M9 Solutions is seeking aTechnical Architect to workremotely on a government contract for a client located inArlington, VA.An active Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering solution designs and architectures for key initiatives hosted primarily in a Cloud hosted government platform, and considering re-use, scalability, and reliability in alignment with the client's mission and strategy.
  • Develop relationships across the business and client's technology to understand requirements, apply technical knowledge of solution, and technical architecture to solve business problems.
  • Work closely with other architecture and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Create reliable solution plans that include cost estimates and optimized delivery approaches by working with the business, multi-disciplinary teams including peers in technical solution management and product costing.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to client engagements focusing on complex and innovative products and reusable assetswithin the context of Azure/Azure Gov Platform services.
  • Create detailed infrastructure and engineering designs that account for the end-to-end technical solution of a system, with the business strategy and objectives and within the context of the client's technology environment and Azure/Azure Gov Platform services.
  • Build consensus, mediate conflicts providing technical leadership and advisory services to the business.
  • Anticipateneeds and potential objections and helpto create an environment which solicits positive contributions from all participants: solution and technical architects, engineering teams, product manager, project managers, product analysts, test and project teams, information security and operations.
  • Monitor the progress and the quality of the project and reviews and develops due diligence to confirm the developed solution complies with architectural design.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required.
  • An active Secret clearance is required.
  • Thoroughunderstanding of Azure/Azure Gov (Gateways, Firewalls, Containers, ADO, etc.) architecture.
  • Experience inarchitecting and designingtechnical solutionsforMicrosoft-centric solutions based on industry standardsusing(Azure) IaaS,PaaS,and SaaS capabilities.
  • Experience with any claims-based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, JIT, and/or RBAC / Ping etc.
  • Experience indata movement and transformation technologies.
  • Knowledge of Cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.
  • Ability to adopt and relate new technologies to the set of problems our client faces while adhering to security and other standards.
  • Good understanding of latest Cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends, and deployment options.
  • Highlyskilledin defining,designing,and developing distributed and scalable products and services, including reusable domain-specific microservices on multi-platform /hybrid clouds (such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
  • Ability to navigate the organization to facilitate work beyond the immediate technical team.
  • Experience with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, Microsoft Visio, or similar design tools.
  • Experience supporting peer teams and responsibilities, such as infrastructure, operations, engineering, info-security.
  • Experience with PowerShell to manage and administer Azure resources and DevOps deployment pipelines.
  • Cloud experience especially Cloud platforms, in particular MicrosoftAzure Gov.
  • Experience withSoftware development full lifecycle methodologies, patterns, frameworks,libraries,and tools.
  • Knowledge of one or more programming and scripting languages such as JavaScript, Bash, SQL, .NET, Java, Python, PHP, Ruby, PERL, C , etc.
  • Experience with relational, graph and/or unstructured data technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cosmos, Azure Data Lake, etc.
  • Knowledge ofvisualization tools such as Power BI or Tableauand understanding of analytics tools including Azure Stream Analytics, SQL Analytics, Data Lake Analytics.
  • Ability to deliver projects or initiativesusing common methodologies especiallySAFeAgile, Waterfall, Iterative etc.
  • Obtain one ormore of the typicalTechnicalArchitecturecertifications e.g. Microsoft, MS AzureCertification, TOGAF, AWS Cloud Certified, Pivotal, CISSIP, Zachman, ITIL, Cisco, (ISC)2, CEH,SAFe, PMI, and SAP etc.
  • Abilityto workacross multiple projects with varied stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills that are required to operate as a leading member of global, distributed teams that deliver quality services and solutions.
  • Excellent technical, collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong collaborationabilitiesand willingness to share ideas,documentation,and leading practices.
  • Strong conceptual and analyticalskillsand ability to extract, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies.
