Rockaway Care Center is looking for a part time (PT)12 hr shift (8:00 pm - 8:00 am) Respiratory Therapist for our 20 bed ventilator unit. One to two shifts per week.

Responsibilities as a Respiratory Therapist:

• Interview and examine residents with breathing difficulties
• Consult with doctors and nursing staff to develop and modify resident treatment plan
• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests to measure lung capacity
• Use equipment to administer oxygen to the resident to assist with breathing
• Monitor residents on a ventilator
• Monitor a resident’s response to medication and alter when needed
• Regularly check on residents and equipment

Requirements for a Respiratory Therapist

• Must have BLS
• Must be a RRT
• Must be patient and sensitive to resident needs
• Must be able to work night shift
• Must be fully vaccinated for Covid

Salary Range: $45.00-$55.00/ hr based on experience
