We’re looking for an amazing Product Designer to join our Internal Tooling team! You’re a passionate and motivated user experience expert who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where you have full ownership over designing innovative solutions that drive the best possible outcomes for customers.

What you’ll do 

• Work with a small, cross-functional team to define our internal/proprietary tools and elevate them to be best-in-class so M1 can scale efficiently.
• Perform user research (with internal M1 employees) to listen, observe and turn their feedback into insights and ideas that drive the best outcomes. 
• Gain a firm understanding of the goals of stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Operations), and frequently communicate with them.
• Rapidly ideate to get to multiple concepts, moving into detailed workflows and interactions as solutions solidify, and bringing ideas to life through sketches, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and hi-fidelity visual design.
• Share designs with Product Design team members and take in feedback on what the best direction may be. 
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end design solution from idea to hand-off. 
• Make sound design decisions with qualitative and quantitative data as well as have the know-how to acquire that data. 
• Confidently speak to your work, articulating a clear rationale for decisions that led to your solution. 

Skills/Qualifications 

• 3 years designing exceptional digital products with a portfolio that showcases your ability to move fluidly between user research, UX, UI and visual design, and the willingness to move from idea to whiteboard to execution quickly.
• An obsession for deeply understanding our user’s use cases and workflows to surface inefficiencies and other UX improvements.
• A track record of collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to ship multiple products that have made a measurable impact. 
• A thorough understanding of web design, UI component libraries, living design systems and modern browser technologies.
• You’re known for taking bold, calculated risks, and learning from your mistakes. 
• A passion for elegant, practical design and continual experimentation, iteration and optimization. 
• Proficiency with data analysis and KPIs to drive suggestions for improvements and prioritization.
• Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
