M1 is looking for a(n) Program Manager
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Responsible for the successful performance of site contract requirements and with full authority to make
necessary decisions.
  • Understands both the operational and maintenance issues that have to be defined and managed to ensure
accomplishment of mission objectives while ensuring the safety and security of employees and Government
facilities, equipment, classified information and material.
  • Optimizes the use of personnel, equipment, and facilities while maintaining a high degree of flexibility and
responsiveness to the customers’ needs.
  • Interfaces with the Business Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Aircraft Maintenance Manager,
Functional Commander, Contracting Officer, internal and external customers, and higher headquarters on a
continuous basis.
  • Ensures that the contract is executed in a safe and efficient manner acceptable to the Government.
  • Ultimately responsible for complying with the terms of the contract.
  • Shall identify, document, and recommend methods of process improvements, and/or potential savings to
the government.
  • Delegates the necessary authority to managers, leads, and mechanics/technicians/specialists for support
and production to perform all contract requirements.
  • Provides guidance for workforce managements on matters pertaining to employee hiring, termination,
transfer, evaluation, training and disciplinary actions.
  • Closely monitors and accurately documents reimbursable costs, program management expenditures, and
cost projections.
  • Shall provide comprehensive management of all backshop functions and interact daily with AMIC and host
wing personnel to ensure mission success.
  • Directs, plans, coordinates, controls, and evaluates the operations and personnel.
  • Aggressively pursue timely responsiveness to Contracting Officer or Government program management
requests.
Responsible for the actions of any sub-contractors and ensures sub-contractors understand
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an associated discipline is mandatory. A Master’s Degree in Administration/Business
Management is desirable.
  • Completion of senior-level maintenance management courses is mandatory.
  • Program or project management certification is highly desirable.
  • Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Minimum 14 years of related experience in an aircraft and maintenance support environment, including 9
years in a managerial capacity.
  • Must fully understand quality control procedures.
  • Must be experience with support agreements.
  • Must deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional and effective manner.
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers (input/extract data) and basic computer software programs
such as Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel.
  • Obtain/maintain security clearance.
  • Current valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Environment ranges from office-like to hangar and flight line. Extensive sitting to climbing, standing,
stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
