We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Detailer for our customer in Novi, MI. This is a direct hire opportunity with a growing company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and plans for structural steel fabrication and erection projects.

This is a critical role within our organization, as accurate and detailed plans are essential to ensuring safe and efficient construction.

Extensive experience with Tekla Structures is required.

Key Responsibilities :

• Produce detailed shop and erection drawings based on engineering designs, including plans, sections, and elevations.
• Develop accurate bills of materials for fabrication and procurement purposes.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure plans and specifications are accurate and meet project requirements.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify drawings.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with other trades to resolve design and construction issues.
• 3 years of experience as a Structural Steel Detailer.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Tekla Structures.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Familiarity with industry standards and building codes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines.

Education :

• Bachelor or Associate degree in engineering or related technical field preferred.
