Job Description:

The New Product Development Engineer role supports advancing Client's product development strategy through the design and development of new and improved products in support of Client's vision to be the recognized global leader in myopia management. In this role, you will:

  • Lead Design Verification testing and documentation in support of new product development, remediation/enhancement of existing products, and shelf-life testing
  • Develop and enhance Design Control documentation for new and existing class 3 medical device products
  • Lead process development of new materials and designs for myopia management
  • Support clinical studies for qualifying new materials and device designs
  • Build Client's technical development capabilities by introducing and qualifying enabling technologies to enhance product development
  • Support Engineering & Process improvement projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost within manufacturing.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in medical device product development, Opthalmic device preferred
  • Experience in R&D within regulated industry, medical devices preferred
  • Experience with industry-standard product development methods & tools
  • Expert-level skills in optical & mechanical design software (Zemax, Solidworks, e.g.)
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and good organization skills
  • Excellent collaboration and teamworking skills
