Seasonal Lifeguard (Pool Attendant)

SUMMARY:

Responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and fun environment for guests at the pool in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet guests and attend to their pool-related needs including, but not limited to, getting fresh towels, relocating chairs and/or umbrellas, and issuing recreational equipment, etc.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the pool areas, furniture, and service areas of the pools in an organized manner.
• Replenish all towels and retail amenities and stock as necessary during the shift.
• Respond to guest inquiries and service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager on duty, attend and complete safety training and certifications as required by the management.
• Monitor activities in the pool area in order to prevent accidents while providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment.
• Advise swimmers participating in unsafe practices & safety hazards to adhere to pool rules and regulations.
• Responsible for the availability and safekeeping of emergency equipment.
• Follow the emergency action plan in the event of an emergency.
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until emergency medical services arrive.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management, of which employee is capable of performing.
• Each associate will be required to follow the rules as found in the M&R Employee Handbook

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have CPR Certification
• Must have First Aid Certification
• Must have Lifeguard Certification
• A minimum of 1 year lifeguard experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour
