Position Title: Logistics Coordinator

General Purpose

M.L. Chartier, a family owned and operated excavating company established in 1954 is celebrating 70 years of success in the construction industry this year. We are looking to hire a full-time, year-round dispatcher for our Webberville/Lansing Division. This position will give you the opportunity to be a part of our exceptional team.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch schedules with customers, managers and fellow dispatchers from our other Divisions
• Handle continually changing job requests to satisfy customer needs
• Correct schedule as changes occur, all day everyday
• Work with project managers on waste profiles, manifests and disposals along with providing proper placard information for drivers hauling waste
• Assist in the tracking of Chartier owned property and rental equipment
• Answer calls and emails from driver’s, operators and customers
• Assist in the coordination of emergency jobs from customers
• Provide drivers with all necessary job information (Dispatch sheets, directions, manifests, tickets and contact info, etc)
• Enter needed data into computer
• Call in Miss Dig tickets for upcoming projects- Annual training as required
• Help ensure drivers are carrying the required endorsements
• On call 24/7 for emergency response calls
• Handle all necessary paperwork
• Assist with scheduling and locating dump and disposal sites
• Assist with scheduling annual inspections and repairs with shop manager
• Assist with annual and daily transportation permits, registrations, plates, certificates of insurance and necessary

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must be proficient with computers
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook Etc.)
• Customer service experience is preferred
• Must be able to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly relay information to drivers and customers
• Dependability is a must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
