M&K Global Enterprises, LLC is Hiring a QC Formulation Chemist (Polyurethane) Near Indianapolis, IN

Overview:
We are seeking a QC Formulation Chemist with expertise in polyurethane and epoxy chemistry. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in formulating, testing, and optimizing chemical products, ensuring their quality and performance meet or exceed industry standards.

Location: Franklin, IN

Pay: $75,000 to $95,000 annually

Duties:

  • Review formulations and procedures for accuracy and clarity before releasing batch tickets to production.
  • Monitor production batches by interacting with production and QC personnel.
  • Design and perform laboratory experiments to troubleshoot issues with raw materials, production batches, or customer orders.
  • Perform QC tests on incoming raw materials and production samples as described in QC SOP.
  • Use statistical analysis to monitor product QC results and maintain or modify specifications.
  • Conduct physical property testing including viscosity, specific gravity, and tensile/tear strength.
  • Interact with suppliers to obtain samples or address raw material issues.
  • Provide technical support to customers, addressing inquiries and assisting with troubleshooting.
  • Perform testing and inspection required for customer returns, complaints, and product non-conformance.
  • Record and maintain all lab work in a lab notebook and ensure the laboratory work area is neat and organized.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including hazardous chemical handling, storage, and disposal.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related field required.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in quality control function in a chemical manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Experience and knowledge of polyurethane and epoxy chemistry is preferred.
  • Skilled in quality processes and statistical techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
