M.C. Dean's Electrical and Construction business unit is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team. This role will be supporting a new manufacturing construction project located in Statesboro, GA . The role will require the Project Engineer to be on-site 5 days per week. This is a wonderful opporunity to work on multi-milion dollar projects with a career path to become an Assistant Project Leader, Design Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Project Controls Specialist, 

Key Functions:

• Processing submittals.
• Processing RFI’s.
• Keeping up daily work tickets.
• Posting RFI’s and change orders.
• Tracking and Price orders.
• Maintaining as-builts as work is completed.
• Documenting project issues/conditions.
• Maintaining organized and detailed project records.
• Submitting hours and cost codes.
• Obtaining permits, badges and access requests in advance
• Manage project library.
• Participates in KPR (Key Project Review).

Required Qualifications: 

• 0 to 2 years of experience and Bachelor in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management discipline.

Desired Qualifications:

• 1 year of project engineer or field engineer experience in the construction industry
• Experience with Schedule Development / Managing (i.e Primavera P6 and/or MS Project)
• Experience with Excel, Word and Power Point Programs.

• Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.

• Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
