Position Summary:

The Operations & Program Support Specialist 2 is responsible for providing day-to-day project support for project managers, engineers, and other staff members. This person will learn firsthand about project phases, tasks, activities, schedules, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Program Manager/Sr. Project Control Specialist with tracking of recurring contract deliverables and maintenance of knowledge management repositories.
  • Support planning, creation, and submission of monthly contract reporting.
  • Support onboarding process for new team members across the entire set of M.C. Dean design, installation and sustainment contract task orders, including interface with the Contractor Officer Representative (COR) office and detailed tracking of paperwork submissions and approval status.
  • Support review and triage of incoming work order tickets using approved government tools for the Operations, Engineering, and Cybersecurity teams.
  • Support review of incoming Requests for Change (RFC) and compilation of the weekly Configuration Control Board (CCB) portfolio.
  • Support collection and tracking of signatures for RFCs and updates to work orders in the ticketing system.
  • Support action tracking and meeting facilitation to support coordination between government and contractor entities.
  • Support planning and documentation development for significant events, inspections, and exercises.
  • Support account request and approval process, including coordination with the government for 2875 approval signatures.
  • Support review of incoming system reports as requested by the Operations Manager.
  • Support review of incident response timelines to contribute to development of After Action Reports (AARs).
  • Support compilation of lessons learned repository, generated out of AARs.
  • Support service interruption notification process (e.g., outage, degradation, situational awareness, etc.).
  • Support daily report development and submissions as requested by the Operations Manager or Deputy Operations Manager.
  • Support structuring and maintenance of SharePoint repositories and MS Teams Channels.
  • Support data collection and entry for the Configuration Management Database, following the direction set by the Program Manager.
  • Support development of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.

Position / Candidate Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen with minimum adjudicated U.S. Secret Clearance.
  • 2-4 years of IT related experience with bachelor’s degree.
  • 6-8 years of IT related experience with associate degree.
  • 8-10 years of IT related experience with High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with IT help desk or service desk support.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Experience with Federal government system account management processes
  • Experience with incident and work order ticket triage and management; Remedy and ServiceNow experience desired.
  • Experience in basic IT user tech support preferred.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level-II certification or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security ) preferred.

  • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.

  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Identify and understand the speech of another person.
