SUMMARY: 

The Logistics Coordinator (Domestic) is responsible for the cost effective movement of glass bottles, cartons and cork for M.A. Silva. This includes domestic freight as well as small package shipping of glass and or cork to warehouses and customers. The Logistics Coordinator (Domestic) ensures that all deliveries are made to the customer on schedule and at the lowest possible cost.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs all data input into Epicor for Shipment Releases, BOL’s and Packing Lists.
2. Tracks domestic trucking operations, quotes to the client and overall costs and provides feedback to the business unit
3. Tracks small package shipping operations, quotes to the client and overall costs. Coordinates with Cork Production and Packaging to ensure accurate fulfillment
4. Creates documentation for shipping, receiving and or transfers of materials for MAS or 3rd party warehouses
5. Coordinates shipping of cork, glass and cartons with M.A. Silva Sales, Customer Service staff, inland freight companies, and warehouses, to ensure that all deliveries meet the customer’s delivery schedules.
6. Requests quotes for shipping from the approved list of freight suppliers and selects the best supplier based on lowest cost and the best service for delivery to the customer.
7. Ensures all customer deliveries are reported to Customer Service and Accounting to ensure proper invoicing of customer.
8. Publishes daily glass shipping schedule to Sales and Customer Service for all warehouses
9. Support Supply Chain Team as needed
10. Perform other duties or special projects, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

1. HS Diploma or equivalent required.
2. 1-3 years’ experience with warehousing, distribution and goods movement preferred but not required
3. Strong computer literacy. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individual and groups at all levels.
