Position: ESY Special Education Teacher (Preschool)Job description: We are seeking a positive, friendly, and well-organized person with strong interpersonal skills to work with students for the Extended School Year (ESY) Programs. ESY programs are located at Summer Street School and Lynnfield High School. Required Qualifications:Moderate disabilities and/or severe special needs certification is required.Excellent written and oral communication skillsEssential Functions:Provide direct academic and social/emotional instruction. Experience supervising paraprofessionals working with students throughout the school setting. Responsible for following the student IEP and ensuring compliance with state and federal SPED regulations, including the delivery of high-quality services and the provision of accommodations/modifications for instructionExperience developing/modifying social, emotional, academic curriculum, and behavioral programs for various learning profiles, as appropriate. Experience with data collection and progress monitoring tools. Experience with effective parent/guardian communication.
