Lynhurst Baptist Church Preschool Director

The Lynhurst Baptist Church Preschool is in search of a full-time Director. The director will be a faithful, encouraging leader who will oversee and manage our preschool effectively while upholding the Lynhurst Baptist Church Preschool Mission.

Our mission is to provide students with a safe and loving environment that encourages spiritual, emotional, academic, social, and physical growth within a Christ-centered program. Our full-day preschool offers a nurturing environment where gifted teachers and enjoyable experiences are brought together to challenge students academically and enhance their love of learning.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for overall management of the preschool area.
  • Responsible for all budget planning and financial oversight of the preschool.
  • Responsible for job offers and hiring of all prospective employees.
  • Responsible for the planning and oversight of the preschool calendar.
  • Responsible for managing all staff including continuing education, performance reviews, team meetings, reviewing curriculum etc.
  • Responsible for all documentation such as the parent handbook, staff handbook, and yearly student registration information.
  • Primary contact for all current and prospective parents.
  • Work with Senior Pastor and Children’s Director to maintain a shared vision for LBCP.
  • Report quarterly to Lynhurst Baptist Church Administrative Council.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

· 3 years experience with preschool age children with CDA required and Director experience preferred.

· State of Indiana Director training to be completed within 3 months of start.

· Associates or Bachelors degree in an education related field, or Child Development Associate credential.

· Experience with State Liscense Policy

· Experience with PTQ, CACFP, CCDF

  • Competency in general computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Word and Quickbooks).
  • Submit to and successfully pass state and federal background checks.
