Our client, a prominent manufacturer of highly engineered springs in Essex, MD, is seeking a meticulous Machine Operator to join their team.

The ideal candidate will possess the physical capabilities to stand, push, pull, reach, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

This role demands a keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure that all parts meet precise specifications through test runs and adjustments.

The Day-to-Day :

• Execute test runs with completed tools or dies to verify adherence to specifications and make necessary adjustments.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the use of PPE (safety glasses and hearing protection) and machine guarding.
• Prioritize tasks to optimize production efficiency.
• Load materials into the machine and oversee the production process.
• Utilize calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges for product inspection, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
• Perform daily machine maintenance and safety checks, demonstrating mechanical aptitude and proficiency with basic hand tools.
• Implement quality control measures to uphold customer satisfaction.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan fabrication sequences for tools, dies, or assemblies.
• Calculate dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances based on specifications.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges.
• Ability to interpret blueprints or work tickets accurately.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel for data entry.
• Strong mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, and the ability to convert fractions into decimals.

Pay Rate / Shifts :

• $19.00 to $25.00 per hour.
• Shifts vary between 1st and 2nd
• 6 : 00 AM to 11 : 00 PM.
