The Kingdom East School District seeks a long-term substitute who is a licensed special educator or eligible. This position provides direct instruction to students and consultation with classroom teachers serving learners with special needs. The candidate selected for this position may also lead in the facilitation and development of effective individualized education programs (IEPs) and the coordination of related services designed to support student growth and achievement. The position requires applicants to possess a thorough understanding of special education law, cognitive/social emotional development, IEP development and classroom interventions within a tiered system of supportive instruction. KESD Schools are extremely team-oriented and work under a Professional Learning Communities (PLC) model.
