POSITION SUMMARY
- Responsible for assisting the head coach of the Volleyball program. Coaching, instructing, and performing other duties assigned by the coach and or Athletic Director necessary to the development of the individuals and the team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists the head coach with planning and teaching student athletes the rules, techniques, and equipment to become a better volleyball player and with head coach direction lead the JV team as part of the varsity program.
- Assists and directs individual and group practice activities as assigned by the head coach.
- Monitoring student athletes during practices and competitions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous coaching experience is preferred.
- Experience in volleyball and volleyball techniques is essential.

- The coach must have completed or complete a mandatory coaches certification classunder the Virginia High School League.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- None
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimal travel may be required to and/or from sporting events within neigboring localities.
